Empowering Children in Kansas City
Fire…Fighting for Kids is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enhancing the future of youth in Kansas City through the art of boxing. With a mission to “help give opportunities and equipment for underprivileged youth in the Kansas City boxing community,” the goal is to provide the participants exercise, character development, self-discipline, selfconfidence, structure, work ethic and the friendships needed to achieve excellence.
If you've ever watched Travis Kelce on the field as tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, you know the man doesn't mess around when it comes to doing the best job possible especially when it matters. So when Travis decided to acknowledge Kansas City, Missouri, native Craig Cummings, a 28-year veteran firefighter who volunteers time teaching boxing to underserved youths, you know the Ultimate Tailgating Truck would be cool. Craig is a pillar of his community who makes a difference, and to honor that, Kelce took a GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation edition pickup and completely transformed it, with the help of KC Customs, into a good-looking, functional vehicle that's not only ready to do real work but will support Craig's love of grilling and watching his hometown team, the Chiefs, on any given Sunday—not only with his immediate family, but with the extended family of youths with whom he volunteers as well.
